Glasgow-headquartered intellectual property companyMurgitroydIt has increased its Irish base through the acquisition of a European patent and trademark attorney firmHanna Moore + Curley(HMC).
HMC, a Dublin-based company that specialises in intellectual property protection in a broad range of sectors, including technology-led companies and life sciences, has also established a presence in China. This expands Murgitroyd’s reach in the Far East.
HMC and Murgitroyd’s Dublin offices “will be consolidated with no loss in jobs”, the firms stated. New investment will also be made to support future growth of the expanded Dublin operation.
This acquisition will add specialist attorney technical expertise to Murgitroyd’s pan European presence. It already includes offices in the UK and Germany as well as France, Italy, Ireland and Switzerland.
