In a prestigious recognition, Gurneet Singh, a patent lawyer at Jones Day, has been named one of the six 2024 Rising Stars in North America by the South Asian Bar Association (SABA) of North America. With over a decade of experience in intellectual property matters at Jones Day’s Silicon Valley Office, Gurneet Singh has established himself as a prominent figure in the field of patent law. His expertise spans across complex technological areas, representing renowned companies in high-stakes patent litigation cases in federal courts, the International Trade Commission (ITC), and the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB).
Singh’s recent accomplishments include successfully resolving intricate competitor disputes, such as the multijurisdictional conflict for NXP against Impinj involving over 50 patents, a widely-publicized ITC case for NXP against MediaTek, and defending Cohesity against Commvault in a patent litigation matter. Additionally, he has extended pro-bono legal counsel to more than 30 asylum seekers facing persecution in their home countries, offering invaluable support at detention centers along the U.S.-Mexico border.
Beyond his legal practice, Gurneet Singh actively contributes to the community through his involvement with the Legal Aid Society of San Mateo County, where he assists low-income clients with civil legal issues.
