Dean Bao has recently joined Jones Day’s Financial Markets Practice as of counsel in Sydney. With his expertise in financial law, he will be advising financial institutions, sponsors, and corporates on various finance transactions, including infrastructure, project, corporate, and acquisition finance. Mr. Bao has worked on significant projects in Australia, such as a US$1.3 billion financing package for a major acquisition, refinancing of a large wind farm project, and an AU$1.1 billion term loan financing for an acquisition. Additionally, he has experience advising Chinese lenders and borrowers on cross-border financings.

Alban Caillemer du Ferrage, who chairs the EMEA and APAC regions of the Firm’s Financial Markets Practice, highlighted Dean’s extensive experience in advising clients in Australia and the Asia-Pacific region, particularly in the energy sectors.
